The outage was caused by an unexpected and sudden surge in inbound network sessions on the primary network gateway, which rapidly drove resource utilization to 100% across critical processing units. This level of saturation rendered the primary gateway completely unresponsive and the severity of the disruption required manual intervention by our operations team to restore normal traffic flow.
